Tirupati: Former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy criticized the baseless allegations made by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu regarding the use of animal fat in the preparation of TTD laddu.
Speaking to the media in Tirupati, Bhumana mentioned that YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had already written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting an inquiry to uncover the truth. He assured that all procedures and systems in TTD operate with strict protocols, and no changes to rules or traditions have been made under the YSRCP government. The claim about the use of animal fat in the laddus was completely false, he emphasized.
He also reminded that the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) report on ghee quality was received in July, during the current government’s term and the ghee tankers were sent back after being found unsuitable. He questioned where the so-called adulterated ghee was used if the tankers were rejected, calling the accusations completely baseless.
He stated that Chandrababu Naidu was making these false claims out of frustration because he could not politically confront Jagan Mohan Reddy. He accused Naidu of irresponsibly tarnishing the name of Lord Venkateswara for political purposes and warned that such actions would have serious consequences. He reaffirmed TTD's commitment to maintaining the highest standards of purity and transparency, and condemned Naidu for using religious institutions like TTD for his political agenda.
